Kerry Brennen (class of 2006) and Dr. Heretick will be presenting a poster at the Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association, August, 2007, in San Francisco. It is a report of a meta-analysis of controlled studies on the effectiveness of virtual reality exposure therapy for phobias. (Garrett Brentzel, class of 2006, also helped in some of the early literature review). Kerry and Dr. Heretick are now working to complete a manuscript of the study to submit for publication.

Dr. Heretick was a contributing author for the National Psychologist (VOL. 16, NO. 2 MARCH/APRIL, 2007). She provided an article to kick off a new series on Student Voices. Her article, entitled "Grad Students in for Surprises," discussed some of the challenges that confront early career graduates of doctoral programs in clinical psychology.
